Anthony Ruiz

Anthony Ruiz is an extraordinary youth who inspires everyone around him on a daily basis. With his enthusiasm to volunteer and help out in the community, to his drive to do his very best at school, Anthony is an all around remarkable person. Anthony is a senior at his high school and has participated in many of our programs at SCOW throughout the years. From summer programs when he was a child to our youth leadership program, ¡Adelante! America. He will be going into his third year of being the “Presidente” of Adelante. Anthony takes his role very seriously and excels at it. Always making sure all the participants feel welcomed and involved. Every community service event we may have, Anthony is the first to sign up and helps with all the preparations; such as putting red ribbons throughout Wallingford for Red Ribbon Week. In addition to being President of ¡Adelante! America, Anthony is now an active board member of SCOW! Being the youngest board member, that does not stop him of taking on big responsibilities and participating in fundraisers and monthly meetings. Anthony has a bright future ahead of him, and we at SCOW are very lucky to see him grow as he is blossoming into a great leader and community member.
